At Stemology, respecting and appreciating the amazing miracle of nature is part of our company culture. After all, we are a natural brand! So when it came time to start planning our summer vacation destination, we turned to the great outdoors for a memorable travel experience. Here are the top 10 places in nature our staff is hoping to travel to this summer.
  1. Denali National Park, Alaska: Hike amid reindeer, meet real working sled dogs, and encounter grizzly bears, wolves and moose in this 6 million acre nature preserve in Alaska’s interior wilderness. Or just gaze at the majestic Denali Mountain (formerly known as Mount McKinley), North America’s tallest peak at 20,310 ft.
  2. North Carolina’s Outer Banks: Travel here to see beautiful wild horses running free along the scenic beaches of North Carolina. There are several herds of wild horses here, descended from Spanish mustangs brought to the Carolinas five centuries ago. One of the most striking herds is located on an 11-mile protected stretch, accessible only by a four-wheel-drive vehicle.
  3. Yellowstone National Park: Tucked into the northwest corner of Wyoming, Yellowstone is America’s first national park. Known for its geysers, hot springs and wild bison (an estimated 3,000 of them roam free inside of Yellowstone), you can see the bison on wildlife safaris year round, silhouetted against the natural beauty, rugged wilderness and majestic peaks of Yellowstone.
  4. Great Barrier Reef, Australia: One of the most impressive natural underwater structures, Australia’s Great Barrier Reef spans more than 1,200 miles under crystal waters along the Australian coastline. This reef system is the largest and healthiest anywhere in the world. Here you will experience vibrant coral structures, beautiful fish and breathtaking marine life.
  5. Redwood National Park, California: Prepare to be awestruck by the majestic and unbelievable height of the California costal redwoods. These natural wonders are the tallest and oldest trees on earth, with the tallest on record standing at more than 350 feet and over 600 years old. Hike, bike or horseback ride through these amazing examples of nature, which can only be found in California and Oregon.
  6. Tulip Season in Holland: Technically more of a spring than summer activity, tulip season in Holland runs from March through May. From picturesque small Dutch villages to larger flower fields, no matter where you go in Holland during tulip season the fields will all be different, and no doubt breathtakingly colorful.
  7. Jackson Hole, Wyoming: Sandwiched between Grand Teton National Park to the north and national forest in every other direction, the Jackson Hole Valley remains relatively untouched and isolated from the rest of society. The beauty and vastness of the Jackson Hole region is perfect for hiking, nature watching and horseback riding.
  8. Kauai, Hawaii: Filled with acres of misty rainforests, plummeting waterfalls and Oceanside cliffs, Kauai is literally a paradise for adventurous nature lovers. Swimming, hiking and exploring, Kauai’s appeal isn’t housed in a museum, it’s all about being outdoors.
  9. Sedona, Arizona: Regularly described as one of the most beautiful places in America, Sedona’s magical natural environment defies explanation. From the towering red rocks to the jagged sandstone buttes, all set against an eternal blue sky, Sedona has been beckoning nature lovers, artists and mystics for centuries. Schedule summer hikes for early morning or late afternoon to avoid high summer temps.

Located 37 feet above ground and only accessible by canopy walkway, this resort even offers lessons on designing and building your own tree fort.
